Help me identify this bike. :)
Been scratching my head on this one. Having some problems figuring out what bike (model) I have.
Guerciotti etched on the seatstay as well as various 'G' on the bike (frame), There is a star on the bottom bracket , edco- competitve etched on the bearing cups (top & bottom). cinelli handlebar?
Thanks

close-ups of the details you mention (stays and forkcrown, BB shell bottom, too) would help...but what little I can see looks like it might be just that: a Guerciotti that's been painted to look like a Concorde (with Miele stem).
Any sign that the canti bosses are add-ons? If not, and the BB height is high, then it's probably a CX frame, as it appears...are you located in Benelux?

Yep, that sure must be a Guerciotti (which you probably already kind of guessed
), the details aren't exactly like the other Guerciotti CX frames I have seen (which seem to be medium blue paint and have a few 'teardrop' perfs in the lugs, which might indicate they were built by Losa).
They are rare enough that I don't think there's any model name besides "Cyclocross".
I am not qualified, but there are guerc fans who can tell you approximate year based on the style of panto on the stay caps as well as the crown and BB cut-out, hope one of the experts comes along and takes over...I can say the portacatena holes in the dropouts usually says: very late '70s to early '80s.
One clue that the canti bosses are not original is if the frame was obviously repainted, but that's not definitive...BB height and "mud clearance" compared to same era road frame would be better clues...the fact of both forkcrown and brake bridge being drilled fro regular calipers sort of points to the "added-on later" idea.
very nice bike!

this probably won't help to ID yours, but some pix of a "Guerciotti CX frame" from an earlier thread...many details are different, but I was pretty sure that it was a legit Guerciotti, and built for CX, when I saw this in person.

Awesome frame! I love the colour and that Edco headset looks particularly nice. I'm not sure what your plans are for it, are those decals cleared over? If not I'd be tempted to gently remove them and apply Guerciotti decals instead.

Hello Cupadupa welcome to the forums.
I agree! That is one nice bike regardless of the Concorde decals (could be a team thing? we had a few guys who did stuff like that).
What are your plans? if it fits well and your comfortable on that is the best bike you could possible have. You can do fast paced group rides, commute, train, trail riding even some mountain biking but you would have to pick the bike up and 'cross it over most obstacles, even some light touring or randonneurering. About the only thing you can't do on that is racing, I don't think cantis are allowed in road races.
What is up with the headset? I hope the threads are OK and it is just lose for some other reason. What are the components? I think I see Mafac cantilevers, and a Suntour derailleur? What are the cranks? Last question is the bridge on the seatstays drilled?

Components:
Hubs: Miche Competition
Pedals: Miche
Rear Deraileur: Suntour Superb Pr__. (rubbed off)
Front Deraileur: Campagnolo
Crank: SR
Headset: Miele
Handbar: Cinelli 66 42 ( dunno what the numbers mean)
Rear Dropout: Campagnolo
Pedal clips: Campagnolo
Brake levers : modolo speedy
It also has a Columbus sticker on the Seat tube
As far as my eyes can see the seatstay appears to untouched by a drill. The headset threads are fine. Not sure why it was undone, he gave it to me as is.
Thanks for the welcome Bianchigirl. Thanks for all the help everyone.

Bikes: Several, mostly not name brands.
It's a model 66 bend (aka "Campione del Mondo") bar in 42cm width. Model 64 and model 66 were both popular bends; the 66 has a slightly deeper drop than the model 64. The model 65 ("Criterium") bend was more like a track bar, with the forward sweep starting close to the stem.

Awesome components mix! To me this seems to be the product of a bike nut with a really good parts bin, who put it all onto an orphaned frame to get it riding. One of my favourite kinds of bikes - a mutt that probably rides like a thoroughbred!

getting back to more guesswork: since no bonafide Guerciotti expert has chimed in yet, I'm forced to do my own research in a effort to know all and tell all:
seems to me that this frame has the headlugs, BB shell "star" cutout, brakebridge (I thought I saw a hole drilled in that, I'm wrong), and staycap panto consistent with an early '80s (or even '79) frame...by the mid-'80s the staycap had a script "signature" panto (at least the US imports).
The thing that I can't verify is that forkcrown: the earlier frames used a less-sloping (more flat-top) crown, this model is more what the mid-'80s frames used.

I stand corrected. There is a drill hole on the brakebridge and those canti levers are add on.
Sorry for the confusion. I am still new to the exact terminologies.
I also found out the original owner was a Dutch guy that like to race.
Does that help ID it?
