Front Ti forks spread (about 10mm) and dropouts opened up to 9mm to accommodate a small electric hub motor 1.4kg, 90mm diam and 83mm wide.

The other Brompton behind it is my first conversion of a steel Brompton using a slightly larger motor 2.0kg, 110mm diam, 83mm wide. The Ti fork work, took about three times as long to do mainly the part of opening out the dropouts with a dremel by about 2mm!

PS I have a SRAM A2 in the rear forks of the Black Brompton shown, though I had to remove one of the locking nuts and machine 1mm off the other one. I would not want to try and spread the rear forks.

Regards

Jerry
