Neat bike.

Who can add v-brake bosses to a finished titanium rear triangle/fork?

In reference to the description, can one spread titanium rear drop outs?

I have spread front titanium forks to fit a small electric hub motor. Pretty hard/traumatic though!

any titanium frame maker..

RE: the description, can one spread titanium rear drop outs?
Titanium can be bent, if that is your question..

the bike in question uses Brompton's 2 external cog gear changer, so does not need that. ..

Brompton is working on their own front hub motor, to not make spreading required..

Hah,beat me to it.

Sweet ride, but I would have to do something about that front cable routing. Anyone know if that's some special zero compression housing,or did he make it himself?

Bikes: Mike Melton custom, Alex Moulton AM, Dahon Curl

There's no shifter or control cable for the "two speed hub".

none needed if only 1 cog on the hub.. 1&2 'speed' .. same hub.

2 speed kickback comes from a different source, and custom build up.

that is a bead and tube housing of aluminum, that is very low compression. [nokon 1 possible brand]

Front Ti forks spread (about 10mm) and dropouts opened up to 9mm to accommodate a small electric hub motor 1.4kg, 90mm diam and 83mm wide.

The other Brompton behind it is my first conversion of a steel Brompton using a slightly larger motor 2.0kg, 110mm diam, 83mm wide. The Ti fork work, took about three times as long to do mainly the part of opening out the dropouts with a dremel by about 2mm!

PS I have a SRAM A2 in the rear forks of the Black Brompton shown, though I had to remove one of the locking nuts and machine 1mm off the other one. I would not want to try and spread the rear forks.

Regards

Jerry

When he says "currently set as a single-speed" it means the cable and shifter have been removed, but both sprockets are still installed. Strange choice.

Personally, I'd rather have the 2-speed capability than the weight savings. Then again, I haven't found carrying my M2L up the stairs a "daunting task", so I'm probably not the target market for this bike...

Jerry, is that the Tongxin front hub motor, or something else?

They are both Tongxin based. The smaller one on the white Brompton is a new lighter weight version known as a Goldant.

Available direct from here

Note though most things are shut down in China for the next week or so as its a national holiday.

The bike is not really the 7.95kg S2L in the ad title. It's either an S1L or it weighs more.

Nokon housing... it's great for cables that have to withstand extreme bending and it is better, and even great for brakes but not as good for shifter cable.
