I was looking at the Soma Doublecross but now I think I'm just going to buy a Nashbar alloy touring frame for $99. I've been reading around and asking questions elsewhere. Those who have them say it rides like steel. With their carbon CX fork for another $125. That's like 1/4th the price of the Cross Check and no Surly attitude.
