please help date my triumph / raleigh

Sort of reposting from the headbadge thread, but as I was resurrecting something from such a long time ago anyway I thought maybe a new thread might get better results. I'm still coming a little unstuck with dating my ladies single speed Triumph, knowing what type it is, and am hoping someone will help. I have no interest in its value as I know its nothing high spec but to me a part of anything vintage is finding as much as possible about its history and what it is you're keeping alive.

The only serial number I can find is 40498N with a T underneath as shown in the link below. It is on the side of the seat lug as shown in the registry as 1947-55 convention #1, however the N suffix is not mentioned until the early 60s and without it I'm not sure my number is even long enough?

Underneath the seat there is a small raleigh logo so I know its young enough to basically be a raleigh in disguise, and I know it was bought second hand in '72 by its previous owner, but this is all the info I have.

I've included a picture of the decals just in case they help. If knowing anything else would help obviously just let me know. Sadly I can't find any number on the rear hub

Thank you so much in advance :-) So far I have shiny brakes and one shiny rim. She is my first resto, so it could take me a while!
