In my former life, I spent all my spare time in the tri-circuit. Although the elite triathletes are uber-athletic (and talented), most triathletes (of all skill levels) are very down-to-earth and just out to enjoy themselves. Much like marathoners. Not at all like the 'out to kill' attitude of the pack-riders i've been exposed to.
How can people who spend hours in the ocean daily NOT be laid-back?
They are equipment hounds though; i certainly didnt fit in in that respect.
