Thats another thing, they matched up with 27" wheels, the 26" spares i had didnt reach. And i see that chopping the parts off did devalue the bike. This bike was in really bad conditon when i got it and what looks like a poor attempt to clean off the rust with a fubar angle grinder that left the ones side with deep what looks like gouges. Just to bring it back to decent shape would consist of using body filler or ground down the frame pretty good to be smooth. I dont believe in throwing away a bike unless the frame is badly bent or cracked and even then it could be fixed to a point. Even the clamp for the seat post was seized to the point it had to be cut off, it wouldnt turn even with pb blaster left overnite. If the frame was in better condition with no rust, i would have loved to have converted it to a 29er if possible. I already am lookin for a near decent bianchi or motobecane frame for a nice road bike or pista conversion but wit me being unemployed at the moment i cant. I already let a really nice bianchi slip through my fingers the other day. I know doing what i did made me look like a monster to some of the aficinados here but i like to make things look like they are still new. Even if it involves taking a good bike and cuttin off some of its glory. Bianchigirl im sorry you had to hear that from me but i couldnt have imagine what some one else would have dont like spraybomb a badly rusting frame. I took the time to take off all the paint and prep the frame up to bring it back to life. Its gotten a better responce by some that i know buy im still a newb here so i know im goin to get a tounge lashing by many of you here and especially you. An attempt to get an idea of what the modle and year is what i was looking for but a better understand is more of a lesson then anything else rite now.

One thing i did forget to mention, most of the parts ive been aquiring are campy bottom bracket, brakes that im still waitin for, seat post clamp, crank arms, and 44t chainring, itm seat post, selle italia saddle, miche pista chain, cinelli 110mm stem with drop bars and bart tape, cane creek crosstop brake lever and origin8 wheelset with 16t cog.
