Bikes: Catrike 559 I own some others but they don't get ridden very much.

Pie is passe'

Immediately after graduating high school I got a surveyor's helper job that even included an expense account for lunch everyday. We had pie after lunch every single day. Now, 53 years later, I tried to plan for pi day by finding a suitable cafe that still serves pie. The best I could come up with is Denny's, Bob Evans or Cracker Barrel. What's up with that?

Last September I planned a ride with another 50+ poster for pie Saturday. We rode to Edwardsville, a traditional town setting with several non-chain eateries. We had to check three different ones before we found one with pie and they only had one kind.

The obvious conclusion is that pie has become passe'. Donuts are getting harder to find too. And people ask why I'm grouchy.
