Thanks everyone for your input. I'm not a total buffoon (!) riding across the block all the time but as i said before have to trim surprisingly often when on the large chainring. The shifters are 2012 veloce powershift. In any case I'm going to go with a new centaur FD as advised and pay careful attention to it's set up......incidentally, there's no triple in sight..not sure why that's come up. Thanks again for your help.
