Welcome to the great world of cycling. Glad you dropped in at the forum and if your interested in cycling outerwear, I would suggest looking into a cycling jacket for cooler weather. I had one of those bright green high visibility jackets and didn't like it because it didn't breath. The venting part of the jackets are a very important feature and most good name brand jackets will have those features. As far as jerseys, any of those team jerseys or cycling specific jerseys you'll find online or at your local bike shop will work as they are designed to be comfortable and wick moisture well. Stay away from cotton clothing as it soaks up moisture and sticks to your body, very uncomfortable. As far a pockets are concerned you will find most garments have the 3 pockets in the back and none in the front. They design it that way so stuff won't hang out in front of your body while riding. Others will chime in soon with more suggestions. Enjoy! and be safe out there.
