Last year I drove 362 miles to do this ride. I only did the metric(because of family issues) and I am coming back again to do the 100 mile century.

The 60 went north to Gettysburg through some very nice riding territory. After I finished we drove the century route to Antietam.

I am a history buff and and I had never been to either battlefield.

Just the experience of riding a bicycle approaching Little Round Top on a bicycle is enough to draw me back. If you haven't been there before, I would also suggest taking a map of the Gettysburg battlefield because the ride doesn't- (I dodn't think it did last year?)include all of the battlefield and you might want to alter the route to get in places like the fields of Pickett's chrage?

I would suggest doing this ride as it is one of the best rides I did last year.

If you go, I hope that you enjoy the ride.

PS: I missed a lot of the climbs on the ride last so I might be singing a different tune come Saturday night.
