There's plenty of housing length to work with. loosen both pinch bolts, and trim the inner wires just below the pinched area. Unthread, then trim off the bend on the housings, then trim to a length that has them feeding straight in to the stops. You'll be cutting off enough that the cut inners will now be long enough to reuse, so you can finish the job correctly.
