I am new to fixies (fixed gear bikes) now I have stock tires and stock gears (cog and sprocket) so basically in riding a 40t front x 17t on back.and it's incredibly hard to skid. My question is; If I wanna skid stop easily and ride comfortably and well....fast. What gear ratio should I have? Also one that will give me the most life on my tire.
