As I was pulling into my garage yesterday I noticed a red road bike standing near the dumpster. As the optimist that I am, I grabbed it and pulled it into the garage and left it there as I left the house. I come back to see what it was and see if I can salvage or fix the bike.

After a close inspection I found it was a Huffy, The components on this bike were horrid. The handlebars were some wierd design and the whole bike looked like a mess. Well after pumping the tires full of air I decided to take it for a ride(bad idea). My car is parked in a way that blocks the bike from being moved so I have to take it above my head and over the car. I usually have no problem with my Univega but the Huffy weights a TON. I was looking for the attached boulders on the back but didn't find any .

I rode it for about 5 minutes till I turned around and went home. Parked it near the dumpster and forgot about it.

Do people compete with these bikes? I hear the name tossed around but I can't imagine that it is actually a good bike. I think it weighs more than my MTB.
