My '72 UO8 (which I rode today) has a single bottle and a Zefal pump, both installed decades ago. Our Peugeot tandem has no bottle cage and a Zefal Solibloc pump. My Masi and Raleigh have a single bottle but newer frame pumps because they work so well are are available without blowing a fortune on ebay. The Bianchi has two cages because that's the newfangled arrangement the factory chose. The Bertin has a single cage and shares the pump usually worn by the Raleigh.

So, no, there is no neo-Luddism here. Just plain old-fashioned Luddism. The way it's s'posed to be.
