My '72 UO8 (which I rode today) has a single bottle and a Zefal pump, both installed decades ago. Our Peugeot tandem has no bottle cage and a Zefal Solibloc pump. My Masi and Raleigh have a single bottle but newer frame pumps because they work so well are are available without blowing a fortune on ebay. The Bianchi has two cages because that's the newfangled arrangement the factory chose. The Bertin has a single cage and shares the pump usually worn by the Raleigh.
So, no, there is no neo-Luddism here. Just plain old-fashioned Luddism. The way it's s'posed to be.

A few modern bicycle companies are trying to sell us on our Luddite tendencies.
I was at the BianchiUSA site last night and thought I was in a time warp (although the dropout threw me... and of course support for the extra cage)

Mine has NO braze-on w/b or d/t shifter mounts, and I ditched the OEM frame pump for a Zefal HP - waaaay back in '77

And PROUD of it!
Now, if you're asking if I have a newer frame without the modern 'necessities', I'd have to answer yes, and no.
My newer road frames do not have factory bottle mounts either (but they do have DT shifters - which I despise...)
However, my '90 MTB has a bottle mount - that I've never used!
...and this is a bad thing because....?

The only braze-ons on my Frejus, are a couple rear brake cable guides on the top tube. Even the derailleur cable guides are bolted on, above the BB shell. I just use a backpack, like sailorbenjamin. But I might grab one of those fancy handlebar bottle cages, if I ever found one.

Bikes: A green one, "Ragleigh," or something.
Anyone else who has created a hopelessly out-of-fashion set up with modern parts?
Where are the cotter pins on your cranks, young man? Are the crank arms themselves held on with phlogiston?
What manner of strange, ungodly contraption have you put before us?

Pretty much all my bikes have some luddite aspect to them, if that's how you want to describe it. Even my Boulder uses down tube shifters and sports a frame pump. I don't see this as a throw back in any way - just stuff that works. (Anyone else besides me ever give a flat assist to someone whose CO2 cartridge didn't work?)

Today's commute. A real Luddite bike. A real workhorse. An old friend.

Italuminium, While nobody is smashing modern bicycles with baseball bats, this is a bicycle forum for luddites.
I've backwards built a couple of bikes with DT shifters, one was a return to and the other had integrated shifters from the factory. That's about as far as I want to luddite-up. I'm still on the fence with the SR500 build.

jim muller, what is original on that old friend? The brakes and levers. What else? Nice brakes!

Thanks. Original: Brakes, levers, pedals, headset, stem. The shift levers replaced the original stem shifters back around '73, I think, so they are almost original. Same with the toe clips and straps, and the bottle generator. The Simplex seatpost and Blackburn rack were added within a year or two of '80, I think.

Why would Bianchi put mounts for fenders/racks on the rear of the frame but not the front fork? Makes no sense to me. I love the mounts. Why just go halfway?

I have the same setup on my 2001 Univega Modo Vincere. I could give a rat's @$$ if it's fashionable or not. That aspect of cycling doesn't matter to me. Providing for my family comes way ahead of any need to be fashionable.
