A rode bike works here.But you will see every 2 wheeled contraption known to man.There is a paved blacktop path and the road is an option but parts of it are under construction now.One lap is about 10 miles.The ocean on one side and the bay on the other.Great views, NY skyline,Navy ships,light houses,fishing boats,bird sanctuary, nude beach in summer.I said great views right!Its a 50 min car ride for me and worth the trip.I attend 2-3 times a week.Now that I think of it I it I'm Going tomarrow.There is good fishing here also.And you can always count on the wind to be in your face both ways.Btw if you want to MTB there is a trail in the woods about 1/8 of a mile away Heartshorn woods.
