I am completely new to the scene as I've only owned stunt bikes as a child and a GT Mountain bike that's about 10 years old now, that has held up well. I really got my eye on the
Pure Fix Juliet as my first single speed for my commute in Manhattan. Not very sure about the specs but from reading about it on this thread, people are saying the frame isn't very good and it's quite heavy.
Aesthetically, it's EXACTLY what I'm looking for. If I were to make any "mods" it'd be to definitely add rear brakes, and possibly swap to a bullhorn bar.
Weight isn't much of an issue (I'm reading it's about 22lbs) as I won't be lugging it up any stairs or anything, just from the parking garage to classes and back.
Besides the frame being bad, are there any real major reasons to not invest in this bike? I was able to find the bike for $325 shipped from a website and can't seem to find a deal any better than that for what I'm looking for (all black matte).
