Well, I sure as heck don't know the answer to your question. In defense of "the original drew", however, I would point out that his name was found on a bike frame that had been mutilated or, as we say, 'drewed.' So while I think we can safely assume he himself put his name on his bike, we certainly don't know if he's the guy that mutilated the frame. So the correct term might indeed be skipped or benned or, well, just about anything.
