There is a reason you dicker so hard with car dealers ... they're *******s.
Dealing with bike shop people, you'll find that they're mostly honest folk trying VERY HARD to make a living in a seasonal business. I think you are burning your bridges here buddy. The way things work in this biz is you're a good customer and then the LBS starts throwing stuff back your way. If you start throwing things in their face like this, and you'll ruin your good will. You may find your repairs will cost double what they might have otherwise.
You set the tone for the relationship when you started behaving like Wal-Mart with your spreadsheets. You're hitting your LBS in the pocket book, don't be surprised if they hit you back when you've broken a part and you desperately need to replace it for the afternoon trail ride.
