Ok went to the LBS last night......they had a Trek 1.1 and a Giant Defy 5 both were just over $700...which they would do any adjustments and tuneups in the first year. Got lots of good info on the size of bike needed, etc...was pretty helpful. He also said dont buy a walmart....the ride will suck.

Asked them if i buy a bike off bikes direct would they put it together and tune it for me....and they will for $60.

Kinda makes me think this one http://www.bikesdirect.com/products/dawes/lt1500.htm isnt a bad deal. I dunno?
