I also think the
Giro Indicator is a great all-around helmet. Comfy, good fit, high quality construction, affordable. Get one in white for great visibility and cool temps in summer too. It even looks pretty cool (for a bike helmet) and you'll appreciate it when you get caught in the rain and the visor is keeping the worst of it out of your eyes. 4.5 stars in 300+ reviews on Amazon is no joke.
I'm on my 2nd Giro Indicator helmet. No complaints. Good fit, good ventilation, good weight, good price, visor is a plus for me, and it looks good without looking too "racer". The adjustable fit means I can put wear a skull cap underneath in cold weather. I have the red/white/black model (because it matches my two bikes
