If I were a scientist studying the Aussie Thread as a lifeform I would very quickly come to the conclusion that it was a serious candidate for extinction on the basis that it attracts fewer new stayers than the number of souls leaving.
And if I were a mod on BF I would be hoping that the scientist was right!!
Once the majority of newbs establish whether the Trek 1200 or the Specialized Allez with the Speedplay or Shimano pedals is for them, then they pop in here to get frightened by the locals, they probably just give up and leave. The rest of us are slow learners
