Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

No, her formal is tonight. She'll get luggage tomorrow. Actually, she's going to go to college in the US, so we'll keep a room for her.

Newcastle is closer to 50. A lot of riders hate it because the shoulder of the banking rolls off very steeply. It's not uncommon to see riders thrown off their bike if they get trapped high on the wall just as the sprint winds up. They come off the bank and end up riding in mid air for a few metres!!

I think you may have that backwards. What's the difference between Aussie Uni's and detention centres?

[edit] She'll be attending a community college in Utah, then a proper 4 year school once she's settled on her major.

No, not BYU. At least not right away. From my experience, best to go to a Jr. college first, then a 4 year school.

Queensland in January? How do you feel about riding in 35 degree heat with 95% humidity?
