Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Geez....SRMs for $1500. Someone who actually rides their bike should've pounced on them

Last week a couple of lasses set a mark for the hour tandem on DGV. Apparrently a bit of science went into it: https://www.nsw.cycling.org.au/files/...ndem200905.htm

Interesting how they approach things at that level. Mugs like me would just blast away (and most likely fail miserably!

Dead set....

Next time you're at the newsagent, pick one up and find the page that shows all the editorial info. Lists the staff, circulation, issue no., trading name, all that stuff. On there somewhere will be the line "This magazine is dedicated to the glory of God" and a Bible verse.

I kid you not.

Problem is though, it would be about nothing.

Who wants to hear the ramblings of 5 guys who're trying to avoid doing work?

Someone bring a handicam: I see the makings of a 'road-trip' feature film.

What else do we need? A bevvy of busty beauties, drug references, booze, some running involvement from the cops, burly bikies on Harleys (leather vs lycra battlescene) and a tow-truck. Easy!!

OK, plan is, Lisa to pick you guys up from somewhere at 4:15ish, then come up to my work, get me and hit the highway at about 5.00.

You guys can either get to my place or Lisa can meet both of you at one of your houses so we save some time on the pickups.
