As it's the only daytime 200km Audax has, you do not need night riding gear i.e. lights vest etc. However drawing a long straw I think the national road rules say you must have them on at all times but we won't be checking for them."

I checked the NSW road rules and you don't need them to ride during the day, but you do need "a working bell or horn within easy reach". I might get some streamers for my handlerbars too. And a piece of cardboard stuck in the back wheel for that authentic motorbike sound
