While I'm not politically correct (I know a very funny joke about 'Flied Lice') but the difficultly some Asians (Chinese,Japanese) have in pronouncing R (replacing with a "l") is not based on the "insufficient knowledge about using the English Language", but a phenomenon referred to as rhotacism. I believe what you are referring to commonly called loosing something in the translation. In this case the Chinese term to disassemble
分解 [fēnjiě] also means to destroy or disintegrate.
