Adding... if you have anxiety about the ride then do what you feel is best for you. I get this whole not having backup is stressing you out... Plus you are staying in hotels... at least you don't have to, after a hard day's riding, pitch a tent and go through all that. Nice comfortable room and shower... something to look forward to.
