You'll get over it! I hear this from people but really, isn't the point to raise fine independent young people who can thrive on their own? I'm glad the ties will always remain but I'd feel way more downhearted if my 'little birds' hadn't flown the nest! I love hearing about their adventures (including riding ones) and trying to only offer needed advice that actually stands a chance of being followed (rare occasions indeed!). And your kids will like to hear about your activities - especially if they involve blueberry picking with the concomitant pie.

Thanks for the post! I do understand that the best possible outcome of parenthood is to have raised healthy, independent, and self-sufficient children and I understand he is living his dream. However the maternal part of my brain can't help screaming, "Thet Ay Foce got my baybay!!!"
