Nope, the reach is too long on the Mafacs. I sort of figured it would be. The look is all wrong too. Too "clunky", for lack of a better word. This frame begs for something more graceful.

With 700x25's and flat footed, I can lift it a good 1 1/2 +/- inches off the ground before before pelvic bone touches steel. Not a perfect fit, but completely acceptable. I put the GB alongside my beater Super Course I just finished, and while the top tube is only about a centimeter higher on the GB, the lower head lug is MUCH lower. That might be some of the optical illusion making the GB seem much larger than it actually is. It also has WAY more relaxed geometry than the Super Course. Head tube angle, and the rear tire is at least two inches from the seat tube, if not more. More of a sport touring than a racing bike. It should be a relaxed and wonderful riding machine once completed.,,,,BD
