Small world huh? Yeah Matt is a good guy, and been to the shop many times. Like most modern LBS owners they spend more time interested in doing business than what an old bike is worth. He had told me about his fixie plans, and it had a slightly less abusive set of Normandy/Araya/Weinmann clone 27 inchers on it when I stopped by. He accepted my generous trade, and was very happy with the deal. I also tried talking him out of the late 30's Hiawatha balloon tire frame hanging in the boneyard, but no dice. It belonged to a friend of his mechanic.,,,,BD

Vintage BMX though, he would know the value of it. He was a racer back in the early 80's, and still has a few hanging in the rafters of the garage in back.

This was the style of Hiawatha frame, it was even the same color.
