I like an aero post. It makes me .00000000000000000000000000000001% closer to the Tour guys.
They are not hard to pick up if you are patient and stay attentive. I had a Selcof for years, thought it was just fine. I have a Miche that I like, a Chinese copy of a Campagnolo (a little heavy), a white one from whatwolf (installed before I noticed the brand-dp bike?), a Shimano 600, and a Campy. I don't think any of them are any lighter than other posts, in general.
In modern aero posts, I have a Mike Burrows, a Carbon Pro Stealth, and a Valdora........I digress...
