I chanced upon this Gipiemme Aero post during one of my builds and I got to really like it...
The black finished sides emphasizes the aero shape of the post and the resulting silver vertical points relates nicely to the lug points at the seat lug cluster of my bike. I have one with Miche markings on it that seems to be identical to this Gipiemme. which I'm planning to use on another project. Nice thing was, they did not cost too much. Around 40 bucks each.
I agree also with how nice the Shimano 600 aero post was, It so well made that you'd swear it came from a DA group.
