these DT's look rather like the 10sp TT bar ends. Maybe the only difference is the ratchet inside. you can probably mount the 8 speed units on 10 speed pods.
The ugly rubber sleeves come off easily and reveal practically the same DT shifters as shown on the OP's bike.
