"This is not for old men trying to create a museum type bike that they always wanted. this is for a person to need to reduce weight and to be FAST!"
Unfortunately there is a huge problem with this logic;
#1 the small amount of the aluminum removed would hardly result in any appreciable increase in speed;
#2 if someone wanted a light bike so they would go fast, it wouldn't have a NR crank on it;
#3 one of the main crank issues when it comes to speed is the cranks rigidity, something the seller/driller has all but destroyed..Still, you have to admit the total lack of aesthetics (from a different auction) leaves one breathless or should I say the feeling of being smothered.
