my experience has been on one bike and was assembled at my local low-tech mom-n-pop bike shop that I have been using for years, so take my opinion for what it's worth.
im confident that high-end roadie shops with appropriately trained mechanics dish out bb30 bikes to customers all the time without problems.
but that's exactly my issue - i don't think the hassle is worth it and hate going to uber ego high end roadie shops. until the technology becomes more widepread and less problematic for every-day mechanics and cyclists its not worth it to me.
ill continue to ride my shimano cranks, thank you very much. dura ace cranks are a thing of aesthetic and functional beauty.
also im an experienced, fit, middle of the road racer whos plenty powerful and i doubt the stiffness and weight advantages of bb30 have ever made a difference for me in a race situation.
