I understand that the people at the LBS have no control over manufacturing or shipping times or delays. But they do have the power to check up on the orders they place and then keep the customer informed... especially when the promised deadline is drawing near. That's a part of what good customer service is all about... it's how I (and most concerned professionals) do business.

It was their mechanic who told me, the same one who took my order and apparently the only mechanic working there.

There's no excuse for what they did, or rather failed to do and only serves as evidence that they don't care. I see no reason to support them.
