Funny you bring that up. I always acknowledge the flaggers at road construction areas, and will say hi or something if I'm stopped at the head of the line. I drive a convertible so I'm more "out there" a lot of the time, and can't hide behind rolled up windows and the like. I figure it's just good manners.
