wow. i never knew this existed. according to bobbiker, jack taylor made 21 of these machines in 1969. reynolds 531 frame with 349mm wheels. in 2009, a client purchased directly from taylor the last two remaining frame sets. the bike featured in this set of photos was built up in 2009. elliot bay bicycles fabricated the stem for this build.




NOS SA hub, also 1969 vintage, was used in the build. very nice touch.

That is so gorgeous. Jack Taylor was quite the rider in his days. There are times when I wish I had membership in good standing with the "Heavy Wallet Brigade". Must be nice to be able to go to a shop like Elliott Bay Bicycles and say --"Here's what I want, can you build it"?
