Well -- Ok, perhaps a "Diamond in the Rough". A little TLC and a nice paint job would make it a stand out for sure. An interesting placement of the chain tensioner. I think for me, I would keep it assembled. Not exactly the best bike for travelling with. One could miss his/her flight trying to take that apart. Perhaps arrive at the airport/bus depot/train station earlier than normal.
It's what I'd call a
packing bike instead of a
folding bike. You give up the instant fold, but you get a lot in return. And I'll point out that you can't get a Brompton into a 22x14x7 container.
The gearing choice is interesting (two very different speeds - has to use hand as there is no front derailleur), but the builder built it for himself and it works well for him.
