The hub will not work. 8-10 speed hubs are the same but when they developed 11 speed they increased the lenght of the hub. Some wheel manufacturers, like Stan's, will sell you a conversion hub for 11 speed. A 11 speed hub can be used with 8-10 speeds by inserting a spacer between the cassette and the wheel.
