Wide tires are fun to ride in the snow. This is not my bike. A vendor at an event out ski patrol was hosting brought it up with him. He let several of us take it on the x-country trails for a spin. The road was covered with melting ice, and it handled the conditions well. There was several feet of snow on the trails iwth a breakable crust. The bike did OK until it broke through the crust, and then you were high centered. I doubt if you would try riding that stuff in normal riding. This happens to be a Surly Pugsly with 4" tires. Have fun!!
