my best advice would be to never leave it overnight. thats when stuff gets taken/damaged. if i were you, i would keep the pista, buy a good u lock and sturdy cable for the frame and wheels. also buy another little cable to lock up the saddle, if you're paranoid about that.

you have a pretty sweet setup. i would keep it and maybe get a serious beater bike for pub runs and such.

also, acting like you spent 2600 on a bike you spent 800 on is kind of a d*ck move ("my loss your gain")
