Am I searching for the impossible stem?

Ok so my current stem is a little too long, which is unfortunate because I like it. So I'm trying to figure how to replace it.
Currently, it's a black Salsa quill stem, 110-115mm as seen here:

I have two quill adapters, one 1 1/8" and one 1". I don't want to use the 1 1/8" because it looks like this:

So my thinking in using the 1" adapter is that I might be able to find a skinny steel stem that wouldn't look so out of place. But where are these?? They have to be out there or this 1" adapter wouldn't exist right?

I wouldn't mind the same Salsa quill stem in a 90-95mm length if I could find one..

Anyone got any ideas?
