There are a lot of Salsa (and copy-cats) black cro-moly 1" quill stems out there in a range of lengths, I have a modest collection myself. But most of them do not have the removable face-plate and most are for mtn. bike bars, so 25.4 clamp diameter. If you want to use those bars (flat, North road, etc.) and don't have to have the face-plate I can probably dig out something in the right length. Some of the knock-offs are almost as nice as a real Salsa (well, maybe) and much cheaper.
I'm game to listen to any offers and I realize there are a ton out there but everything I've seen so far has something off with it. Like you said a lot of them are for mtb so the bar clamp diameter is wrong and so is the degree rise.
All I want is: a black 1" stem with 26.0 bar clamp, 17 degree, 90-95mm. Why is that so hard??
