if it makes you feel any better, a friend of mine this week fell down some stairs and hit her head on concrete - major concussion and staples in her scalp. at least you were doing something more than just walking when you got hurt.
i know the feeling....it was tough explaining to the ER staff in august that my 5 year old daughter put me there.
i am still having trouble with memory loss and finding words a couple months later....all because my child has bad aim...i wish i had a more gnar story.
also, today i'm starting to suspect that my shoulder is separated thanks to my crash this sunday.
