OP, mine is accushift alpha-6000. For my son (for whom this is his first road bike) I got some suntour stem-mount 6sp shifters; he didn't like DT shifting. It's still suntour, but the 6sp indexing works fine even though it's not accushift anymore.

Question fer ya: how loud is your RD? My RD is so loud I am embarrassed to ride with it because other people will think I'm a crappy wrench. The chain clacks on the pulleys so hard it always sounds like it's between gears, even though it's not.
