spRice, don't be too disappointed, winters in western Oregon can be tough with all the rain. I did some of my schooling at Oregon State in Corvallis (wildlife biology) and we sometimes had to dash to east of the Cascades primarily to get some sun after weeks without!
That's a good point. I get frozen in our mild and mostly dry Davis winters
