Any IGH design is going to have more wear points and some weak parts, and from what I've read adjustment of the shifting mechanism has to be very precise to prevent missed shifts and a false neutral. Also, there's a ton of slack before it engages when back pedalling. As to durability, someone like you will probably put a lot more stress on it.
