Two rims plus spokes, plus assembly, are going to run from $150-$200. I think a new bianchi pista runs about $600 and other new competitive brands (raleigh rush hour, etc.) are within $600-$800. So If the price gets much higher than it currently is, I would consider just going for a new bike, or keep looking. There's a good B. pista on the LA craigslist for $400 right now. Or consider a conversion. just my opinion.

Also keep in mind that Track bike frame sizing is slightly different than a road bike, because of the generally higher bottom bracket position but anything close should be ok, winning an auction is an artform by itself. good luck.
